LSPT 205 - Debtor/Creditor Law and BKRPT

A comprehensive study of debtor/creditor relations that explores secured/unsecured debt, statutory liens, contracts, collateral, default, third-party collections, and bankruptcy preparations. Additional focus is given to examining consumer rights, remedies and protections, and the role Article 9, UCC, and state/federal statutes play in debtor/creditor relations. Realistic case-studies are used to explore how debt is created and collected preparatory to filing bankruptcy.
