ZOOL 280 - Pathophysiology General Education Elective
3 Credits
This course provides an in-depth study of human pathological processes and their effects on homeostasis. Foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology will be relied on as we discuss pathological processes of the human body. This course will emphasize the dynamic aspects of disease and focus on interrelationships among organ systems in deviations from normal form and function. Patterns of pathogenesis as related to physiological mechanisms are examined.
Prerequisites: BIOL 227 /BIOL 227L and BIOL 228 /BIOL 228L with a grade of (C) or higher, or departmental approval
