SWK 271 - Introduction to Social Work
General Education Elective
3 Credits
Introductory overview and history of the social work profession within the social welfare system, and introduction to the generalist model of practice in social work. Attention is given to micro, mezzo, and macro levels of practice. Throughout the course, students will be encouraged to apply critical thinking skills.
