CNT 171 - Networking I 6 Credits
This course lays a foundation for network fundamentals, OSI Model, access, IP connectivity and services, wired and wireless technology, and various types of networks. Emphasis is given to applying mathematics, science, and communication skills to plan, implement, and solve networking problems. Algebra and Boolean math are used to make design calculations. Networking units cover Ethernet switching, routing, equipment, platforms, and utilities. FA/SP
Prerequisites: CNT 114 with a grade of (C-) or higher, a GEM 3 Course with a grade of (C-) or higher
