The Associate of Arts in General Studies is designed to prepare students for further study at a four-year university.

Choose 1 GEM 3 Mathematical Ways of Knowing course. GEM 4: Scientific Ways of Knowing
Choose 2 GEM 4 Scientific Ways of Knowing courses from a minimum of two subject areas; 1 must have a lab. GEM 5: Humanistic and Artistic Ways of Knowing
Choose 2 GEM 5 Humanistic and Artistic Ways of Knowing courses from a minimum of two subject areas. GEM 6 Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing
Choose 2 GEM 6 Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing courses from a minimum of two subject areas. GEM Electives
Take 5 or more credits of GEM Stamped electives. General AA Electives: 6 Credits
Take 6 credits from GEM 5 Humanistic and/or Artistic Ways of Knowing and GEM 6 Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing. Two subject areas not required. General Electives: 18 Credits
Take 18 credits from the approved list of General Electives . Credits may also come from other objective areas. Graduation Requirements
To graduate from College of Eastern Idaho with an Associate Degree, you must have: - A minimum of 60 completed credits
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- A minimum grade of C- (70) in all required courses
- A minimum of 25% (15 credits) of your courses must come from CEI
