ZOOL 127 - Introduction to Human Biology GEM Stamped: GEM 4: Scientific Ways of Knowing
3 Credits
This one semester course introduces a broad overview of human anatomy and physiology. Fundamentals of chemistry, physics, and biology are introduced, and applied, to describe the organization and function of the body’s eleven major body systems. Throughout the course, we will focus on how these organ systems work together to maintain homeostasis of the body; and how homeostatic imbalances lead to health disorders. ZOOL-127 is appropriate for non-science majors wanting a better understanding of how the human body works
Corequisites: ZOOL 127L Recommendations: Students preparing for nursing programs should take BIOL 227 and BIOL 228 .
