LSPT 103 - Tort Law

3 Credits

Learners will examine the fundamental principles governing intentional, unintentional, and strict liability torts. Course materials will examine the elements of tort, with focus given to personal injury, various liability, products liability, libel/slander, invasion of privacy, affirmative defenses, damages/remedies, and possible social, economic, and political implications. Case studies will be used to determine whether a tort exists and an injured party is entitled to compensation.
