MAC 203 - Advanced Machine Shop Lab I

6 Credits

A practicum to MAC 253. Through prescribed projects the student will experience and demonstrate their understanding of safety, machine operations, geometric concepts, coordinate systems, measurements, tolerances, and mechanical feasibilities. Students will work in an environment typically found in manufacturing facilities, using vernacular and work habits expected by discerning employers. Students will learn through practical application efficient machine set-up, operations, work holding, tooling,quality assurance procedures,job tracking, and shop ownership considerations.
