MAC 104 - Machine Shop Lab II

6 Credits

A practicum to MAC 154. Through prescribed projects the student will experience, and demonstrate their understanding of safety, machine operations, geometric concepts, coordinate systems, measurements, tolerances, and mechanical feasibilities. Students will work in an environment typically found in manufacturing facilities, using vernacular and work habits expected by discerning employers. Students will learn through practical applications: machine setup, operations, work holding, tooling, measuring, boring, angles, complex surfaces, and manufacturing considerations.
