MAC 103 - Machine Shop Lab I

6 Credits

A practicum to MAC 153. Through prescribed projects the student will experience, and demonstrate their understanding of safety, machine operations, geometric concepts, coordinate systems, measurements, tolerances, and mechanical feasibilities. Students will work in an enviornment typically found in manufacturing facilities, using vernacular and work habits expected by discerning employers. Students will learn through practical applications: machine set-up, operations, work holding, tooling, measuring, threading systems, left and right hand orientations, angles, complex surfaces, and manufacturing considerations.
