Program Costs
In addition to tuition and fees, students can expect to spend an approximately $5,000 per program for coverall rental, text books, and tools.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Use current technical procedures to diagnose and repair to industry standards the ASE areas of medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge including vocabulary, schematics, components, tools, and documentation associated with the ASE areas of medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Understand, demonstrate, and value attributes of professionalism.
- Demonstrate by performing all safety procedures including the use of tools and equipment during all related shop activities.
**The minimum passing grade for program specific first year courses is 70% (in addition each module final exam requires a minimum score of 70% to receive credit for the course). All module courses in a given semester are prerequisites for the upcoming/following semester. Students that do not successfully complete the required prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of 70% in any given semester are required to submit a petition to their program advisor and the T&I division chair. The petition must be approved before the student can register to retake the failed courses or other program courses. Students in their first semester who receive approved petitions will have to wait one semester, SP or FA, and reapply before being reenrolled into their program specific classes.
Students who desire to enter the second year of the program must achieve a cumulative minimum GPA of 80% in program specific courses to be eligible to enroll in the second-year courses.
