This course provides critical reading and writing of expository and argumentative prose, including summary, analysis, synthesis, and academic research. Students focus on reasoning, argumentation, and rhetorical awareness of purpose, audience, and genre, critically evaluating, effectively integrating, and properly documenting sources.

Prerequisites: ENGL 101 or an acceptable placement score
